Bitty City is a group accountability game. This policy explains what we collect and why.
We store the account details you give us (email address and display name) and your game data (groups, daily goals, completions, and city state) in Google Firebase (Firestore and Authentication). This is used solely to run the game and sync it across your devices.
When you mark a goal done, you can choose to add a photo as proof, taken with your camera or picked from your photo library. This is always optional: skipping still counts. Bitty City only asks for camera or photo library access when you choose one of those options, and only the photo you pick is uploaded. Photos are stored in Google Firebase (Cloud Storage), linked to your account, and can be seen only by members of the city you posted them in. They are never used for advertising or shared outside that city. If you leave a city, the photos you posted there stay with it; they are deleted when you delete your account or when the city is deleted.
We collect anonymized usage analytics (Firebase Analytics) to understand how the app is used and improve it, and device attestation data (Firebase App Check) to protect the service from abuse.
We don't sell your data, we don't use it for advertising, and we don't track you across other apps or websites.
Members of a city you join can see your display name, your daily completion status, and any proof photos you add in that city. That's the point of the game.
You can delete your account and all associated data at any time from Settings → Delete account inside the app. This removes your profile and the proof photos you added, leaves every city (cities you founded are deleted for all members), and deletes your login. You can also email us and we'll handle it.
